FRIENDS, LOVERS & THEN SOME // CHARACTER RELATIONS。
( ironysoul. )	ALPHONSE ELRIC. The first person from his world that he ended up meeting in Vegas. Roy's dealings with the younger Elric have always been cordial, if not a little distant - he was, by far, much more familiar with Edward and how the elder one ticked (mostly because it was good to know his quirks in order to control him better). It's odd, perhaps, how getting dragged off into another world brought them closer, and gave them both an opportunity to get to, ah, know each other. In more ways than one. Sexual innuendo aside, though, it's entirely possible that Al's the healthiest influence that Roy has in his life at the moment. His circumstances with the others are far too complicated.
( toukakoukan. )	EDWARD ELRIC Ah, yes: to say that his feelings for this one are complex would be a dire understatement. At any given point in time, Edward Elric is the kid he picked up and gave a second chance to, the mouthy brat eating into his payroll, one of he heaviest responsibilities he has to bear and a boy whom he'd protect with everything he has, even if he'll never admit it. The main reason why they butt heads a lot is because in some ways? They're way too similar. Now they're in Vegas together, and Edward had to go off and nearly get himself killed by refusing to have sex, forcing Roy to help him out. Suffice to say, things have been... weird, since then.
( betterintherain. )	RIZA HAWKEYE Given the fact that the Riza Hawkeye he grew up with, fought with and came to love as a sister-in-arms/sibling/whatever was a woman, it was downright bizarre for Roy to encounter this one in Vegas. An intense first meeting pretty much confirmed the best and worst for them in a single breath: that in spite of differences in worlds (and gender mindfuck), events and sentiments on both sides were exactly the same. Now take that issue, add the fact that this Riza also knows about him and Hughes together with Roy's need to make sure Riza survives by offering himself up as a bed partner and the inherited complications of Riza being That One He Never Went For because of Reasons, and you've got a fine mess on your hands.
( funwithknives. )	MAES HUGHES Where the hell does one begin? One could wax poetry about best friends, ex-lovers and death for ages, and it still wouldn't cut it. The bottom line is, Roy's been in love with Hughes since their Academy days, and he's had to let go of the man time and time again, to war, to marriage, to death. Vegas did neither of them favors by bringing Hughes over to their side, and while it is true that this is a good second chance for the both of them, it also means dealing with all of their old issues, the things that destroyed them in the first place. They have, at great cost, managed to get through to each other yet again, but who knows how long that's going to last?
( urbandev. )	REEVE TUESTI Owner of Savage Motors, and Roy's "boss" - he got the job with the man by showing how he made for an excellent human flamethrower, with multiple settings to boot. Although they've never directly talked about it, it's obvious that they both want the same thing (read: Loki gone, everyone back in their own worlds), which works out for the both of them. Reeve's also a good friend to have, given his technological savvy. One always needs a super genius on one's contact list, eh?
( reddirtydeeds. )	RENO. Reno is, quite possibly, Roy's red-haired brother from an alternate universe... it was a little eerie how quickly they hit it off, and how easily they get along. Then again, constantly running into each other on the prowl and fucking the same people builds up a certain camaraderie. As things stand and after a particular talk at the Coraggioso, it might be safe for Roy to call Reno a friend.
( lookingglassking. )	KYOJI KAGAMI An interesting fellow, if not a little too smiley. They ran into each other during Roy's first week in Vegas, and again during the Lotus Lounges' reopening. It was fun talking shop about dealing with Loki, but one can only wonder if that'll actually go anywhere. Come to think of it, he hasn't seen Kagami around in a while...
( eternitycoder. )	ARTEMIS FOWL II One of the liaisons of the Lotus Lounge - he had been incredibly helpful on the get-go, answering all of Roy's questions (and in a bunny suit, no less). Given the sensitive nature of the inquiry, though, it had not been an ideal first meeting... and then Roy ended up saving Artemis from a particularly nasty not!customer, and now they get along rather well.
( stormflames. )	HAYATO GOKUDERA Gokudera's lip and punk aura had not thrown Roy off all that much - he was rather used to dealing with the type. It was clear, as well, that the boy was a smart one on the get-go, and intelligence was always worth entertaining. He's got a strong feeling that they'll be using each other as soundboards for scientific theory and similar topics quite often from here on.
( jungen_rhein. )	NOAH VOGEL One of the workers at the Library, and perhaps the cutest one in the lot (which would probably be why Roy remembered him on the get-go). Seems like a good kid.
( esypuo. )	RIKKU A cute blond thing that Roy ended up helping out on the kid's first day in Vegas - they've been running into each other ever since. Boy's ridiculously friendly, and has an acute interest in the things that most others would find boring or scary in Roy, like his alchemy. They could work with this.
( needsapose. )	FRAN One of his first library run-ins, although neither of them ended up doing much studying. Their conversation took an interesting turn, which ended in a promise to hook up and try things out if Fran ever needed to. They're yet to hook up.
( xtwin_gunsx. )	XANXUS. Perhaps it's a bit mean to say that Xanxus caught Roy's eye for the wrong reasons. The man's probably used to being noticed for his looks or how intimidating he is. Roy, however, only really registered his attitude, which did nothing but amuse him. The whole rebel thing/tough guy act gets old after you've fought a war, uncovered military conspiracies, staged a coup, gone through the Gate of Truth and went right back to save the world. They had a drink, though. Perhaps that counts for something.
( flamingprick. )	RIN OKUMURA A friendly, cocky kid that Roy instantly found himself liking, even if Rin had some disturbing similarities to Ed. The two have run into each other often enough for Roy to remember him, and feel the need to look out for him.
( science_academy_chic. )	HOPE ESTHEIM. Their first meeting had not been a 'meeting', per se: Roy had received Hope's SOS on the latter's first day, and had decided to help him out over the phone since he had been too sick to go out and meet Hope for himself. They've recently talked again on topics of interest. He doesn't seem like a bad guy.
( notimeforpi. )	ASCH Helped this one out on a whim (red hair = like Reno = always good), and ended up getting entertained by all the prickliness and snark. He's looking forward to seeing this one again for possibly the wrong reasons. (Sorry, Asch.)
( NAME. )	AKITO WANIJIMA. Kid literally breezed in while he was cleaning up some buildings. Apparently he knows Hughes.
( 100percentmail. )	MATT. ...Although Roy doesn't know that he's Matt (yet). He remembers this one for his rather eloquent exclamation upon first witnessing what Roy could do with his alchemy. Explosions are the best way to make new friends.
( fireassassin. )	AXEL A fellow firestarter. Now whether he's going to be an ally, enemy, friend, frenemy or future target remains to be seen..
